Which statutory contributions and forms does it cover?
EPF, SOCSO, EIS, PCB income tax and HRDF. The forms include EPF Borang A, SOCSO Borang 8A, PCB CP39 and EIS Lampiran 1, plus CP39A, CP22, CP8, CP159 and the EA, EC and Borang E (CP8D) forms.
Does it submit to EPF, SOCSO and LHDN automatically?
No. SQL Payroll prepares the forms and files in the formats the agencies accept for e-submission, and you or your accountant submit them through each agency's portal. It does not file on your behalf.
Does it stay correct when EPF, SOCSO, EIS or PCB rules change?
E Stream states that SQL Payroll calculates contributions at the latest rates. When a rate changes you need the current version of the software. If you are unsure whether your copy is current, ask on the support channel.
Can it handle foreign workers?
Yes. The contributions that apply to foreign workers differ from those for Malaysians, so we confirm the treatment for your workforce at the consultation.
Can it produce bank payment files?
Yes. It supports electronic salary payment files for more than 25 Malaysian banks, including Maybank, Hong Leong, CIMB and Public Bank.
Does it handle leave, claims and attendance?
Yes. It has unlimited leave types with flexible formulas, E Claim, and it works with most time-attendance systems using Excel or CSV import.
Can staff use it on their phones?
Yes. The SQL E Leave app lets staff apply for leave, managers approve it, and staff view their payslips.
Does it link to SQL Accounting?
Yes. SQL Payroll integrates with SQL Accounting, so payroll figures are entered once.
Can I move my employee data in from Excel?
Yes, as long as the data can be exported to Excel or CSV. Migration is charged separately. Typical set-up: 1 week (2 weeks with data migration).
What support do I get?
Support runs on a WhatsApp channel, Monday to Friday, 8:00 am to 5:00 pm, excluding public holidays, with a response target of 4 hours.
