How it is priced
SQL Accounting uses perpetual licensing: you buy the software once and keep it, rather than renting it. Which edition, how many users and which add-ons you need depends on your requirements, and your proposal sets it out. The service contract, which covers support and training, is separate. You can renew it or carry on without it.

Is there a free trial or demo?
Yes. E Stream offers a free trial you can download, and you see SQL Accounting working on your kind of business at your consultation.
Is it cloud or desktop software?
Both. The desktop edition is installed on your own computer or server and keeps your data there. SQL Cloud is the online version, and E Stream also lists a hybrid cloud edition. Which suits you depends on how many sites and users you have, and we go through it at the consultation.
What are the system requirements?
E Stream's FAQ lists Windows 10 or later (64-bit recommended), an Intel i5 processor or better and 4 GB of RAM, plus an internet connection for remote support. For several users we propose the set-up once we know how many people need access.
Can several people use it, and can I run more than one company?
Yes to both. Multi-user set-ups are proposed for your headcount, and the Accountant Set covers unlimited companies with no PC device locking.
Does it handle e-Invoicing and SST?
Yes to both. The SQL eInvoice add-on is LHDN MyInvois compliant, and SST is part of the core features. Whether you must issue e-Invoices depends on your turnover.
Can I move my data in from Excel or my old software?
Yes, as long as the data can be exported to Excel. E Stream's process is to fill its Excel template and then migrate the data. Migration is charged separately. Typical set-up: 1 week (2 weeks with data migration).
Is training included?
Training is available on site or online, depending on how complex your set-up is. It is discussed after the demo. E Stream states that employee training is free for service contract subscribers.
What happens if my service contract expires?
The licence is perpetual, so you keep the software. You can renew the service contract or carry on on your own. E Stream's FAQ says service contract subscribers get unlimited support and employee training, while non-subscribers are charged per support ticket.
Can reports and documents be customised?
Yes, on request. Once you confirm, we ask for your current invoices, stock list and staff list so customisation and integrations match how you work.
Is it a one-off purchase or a subscription?
SQL Accounting uses perpetual licensing, so you are not renting the software. The service contract is separate and optional. Which edition and add-ons you need depends on your requirements.
