1. Who we are
Hakobi Sdn Bhd (SSM 202501048746 (1650154-X)) operates Hakobi Software from B-1-7, Block B, 1st Floor, Metro Town, Jalan Bunga Ulam Raja, 88300 Kota Kinabalu, Sabah, Malaysia. We are the data user for the personal data described in this notice.
2. Information we collect
We collect personal data in two ways.
- Information you give us. When you send the consultation form we collect your name, company, phone number, email address, state and town, the kind of business you run, how many outlets and staff you have, what you are looking for, what you use today, when you want to start, where you would like to meet, your best time to be reached, and the product or industry page you came from. You give all of this voluntarily.
We do not ask for payment details, government ID numbers or any sensitive personal data through this website.
3. How we use your information
- To reply to your request and arrange your consultation
- To prepare a demo and, if you go ahead, a proposal and pricing
- To meet legal or contractual obligations, for example records tied to a signed agreement
We do not use your request for unsolicited marketing. If we ever want to send you general updates, we will ask first.
4. Who we share it with
We do not sell or rent your personal data. We share it only with the people and providers that help us serve you.
- Our web hosting and email provider, to run the site and deliver your request to us
- Our support team, who join after the demo to go through pricing and who set up, train on and support the software if you go ahead
- The software makers and service providers involved in your project, only to the extent needed for that project (for example a payment gateway application), once you have decided to proceed
- WhatsApp and Meta, if you choose to message us on WhatsApp from the contact or thank-you page
These providers only process data on our behalf or for your project and under their own privacy terms. We do not share your information with anyone else except where the law requires it.
5. How long we keep it
We keep your request for as long as reasonably necessary to reply and, if it leads to a project, for the duration of that project plus a reasonable period afterwards for our own records. If you ask us to delete your information and we have no legal or contractual reason to keep it, we will.
6. Your rights
Under Malaysia's Personal Data Protection Act 2010 (PDPA) you have the right to:
- Ask what personal data we hold about you
- Ask us to correct inaccurate data
- Withdraw consent to future processing, for example ask us to stop contacting you
- Ask us to delete your data, subject to any legal or contractual retention we must observe
